Working with adults who identify as having ADHD

For many adults with ADHD, the real challenge isn’t a lack of strategies, but a lifetime of feeling like you’re working against your own brain. My approach isn’t about ‘fixing’ you or pathologizing how you think. It’s about using a Process-Oriented lens to explore the deeper patterns at play, helping you turn your unique neurology from a source of conflict into a source of strength.

A Whole-Person Approach to ADHD

  • Movement and variety – we might talk, walk, draw, or role-play depending on what serves you
  • Embodied Insight – We don’t just talk about overwhelm; we go into the physical experience of it. Your body holds deep wisdom, and by bringing awareness to these sensations, we uncover the patterns that keep you stuck.
  • Working with ‘Parts’ with Curiosity – The inner critic, the perfectionist, the procrastinator… rather than treating them as enemies to be defeated, we approach them with curiosity. We’ll explore their role and origins to discover what their true purpose might be, learning how to work with their energy to serve your whole self.
  • Embodied Tools – You’ll learn practical, process-oriented exercises to use between sessions, helping you connect with your own inner wisdom when life feels overwhelming.

Common areas we can explore:

  • Emotional regulation – when feelings feel too big or overwhelming
  • Relationship challenges – rejection sensitivity, communication patterns, conflict
  • Inner critic work – the harsh voice that says you’re lazy, broken, or not trying hard enough
  • Navigating Shame – Working with the powerful feelings of being flawed or broken that can make it hard to feel worthy of connection and success.
  • Healing Trauma – Gently making contact with past experiences that live on in the body and nervous system, finding ways to integrate them and reclaim your sense of wholeness and safety.
  • Life transitions – changes feel extra hard when your brain works differently
  • Executive function support – not just tips, but understanding the ‘why’ behind your challenges with motivation and focus

More Than Just Coping Mechanisms

Productivity hacks can be helpful, but they often fail to address the underlying reasons you feel stuck. The deep work we do is about uncovering and transforming the core beliefs that have been shaped by your experience with ADHD. This is where lasting change happens—not just managing symptoms, but fundamentally shifting your relationship with yourself.

I also offer specialised Kriya yoga sessions designed for ADHD brains — a structured approach to nervous system regulation.

“Paul’s somatic approach and empathy mixed with a dash of humour helped me really delve deep and understand parts of me that I never have been able to before. Being in sessions with Paul has given me the ability to feel confident and peaceful in ways I have never been before in my life. I really felt like I wasn’t alone in my journey to feel better, that I had a guide to help me. My time spent with Paul has been pivotal for me to create a happier and more stable life for myself and in turn my kids.”
